You have the choice of parents staying or dropping off for the party. Our recommendation will vary depending on the age of the kids and size of the party. For older kids or large parties, we recommend that most guests choose drop-off.

Our birthday parties are beginner-friendly events that provide an introduction to martial arts. We know not every kid is necessarily interested in martial arts, and that's okay! Our parties are high-energy, active events that focus on fun above all else. We've been running kids birthday parties for over 20 years, and our instructors are seasoned professionals. They will cater the activities to what the kids are responding to. If your child's friends don't seem like they're digging a particular game? No problem, we can read the room and will move on to the next game!

Packages include up to 12 kids, but you can add additional kids for $25/child. In general, we set 35 kids as the maximum occupancy for parties, but there is some flexibility depending on location and the ages of the kids. For more info, contact an MMA location directly!

Kids should wear whatever they’re comfortable moving around in. We don’t wear shoes on the mats, so you don’t need to worry about kids’ footwear. And if your little ninja already has a martial arts uniform they want to wear, go for it!

Lots of toys so the fun doesn’t have to stop when the party ends! Some of the included items are:

Yes! Just be sure to coordinate with our Program Directors so we can add extra items in advance of the party and ensure that everything will fit in our party favor bags—we stuff them pretty full as it is!

It’s nothing to stress over! In addition to having instructors there to lead the kids activities, you will also have one of our Program Coordinators at the party to set up, serve, and troubleshoot any concerns you might have. We are party professionals who have seen it all (trust us!), and we are totally committed to tackling any obstacles that might arise.

We will highlight your child throughout the party, calling on them to demonstrate for their friends, be a team leader, and weigh in on what fun game they want to do next. In addition, the birthday boy/girl gets to break a (real) wooden board in front of all their friends and family!

Depending on the MMA location, we order birthday cakes from either Fairway or Sugar Sweet Sunshine. You have the choice of chocolate or vanilla sponge and chocolate or vanilla frosting.

Whether you choose our Gold Package or Platinum Package, you are able to bring additional food and beverage for guests. This should be coordinated with one of our Program Directors. If desired, we can arrange for you to drop off additional supplies in advance of the party.

Yes! We can accommodate Kosher offerings for our Platinum Package. Reach out to us for specific information about where we order from.

Because we arrange an action-packed 90 minutes of fun for every party, we do not recommend bringing outside entertainment like magicians or face painters. We promise your child and their friends will be busy from start to finish, and outside entertainment tends to distract the kids.

We now have an arcade at our Tribeca, Upper East Side, and Upper West Side locations! The specific games vary from location to location, but you can expect at least 10-12 modern pinball machines and retro arcade cabinets, featuring games such as Street Fighter 2, Mortal Kombat 2, Marvel vs. Capcom, Ms. Pac-Man, and more!
